Abstract:Improper emergency response to power system emergencies not only causes huge economic losses, but also has potential negative impacts such as causing social chaos and threatening public safety. The introduction of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) into the field of emergency management in the power system will effectively avoid such negative impacts and enhance the emergency response capabilities of the power system. This paper delves into the generation logic of emergency management in the power system, elaborates on the economic, social, and cultural values of GAI empowering emergency management in the power system, and proposes that strengthening trust in GAI and optimizing the emergency management system are the future paths for GAI empowering emergency management in the power system.
