Mao Zedong's poems are rich in literary, intellectual, historical and revolutionary characteristics, which have been read enthusiastically among Chinese readers, and have also had a certain impact among readers from all over the world. With the trend of Chinese culture going global, it is a contemporary proposition to introduce classical Chinese literature to the world, to enable local knowledge to achieve globalization in a real sense, to be integrated into world literature, and to become part of world knowledge. Mao Zedong's poetry is rich in knowledge, prominent in literary features and strong in local color. Setting off from the characteristics of those poems themselves and combining with the relevant theories of transknowletology, we could also make full use of emerging media and resources to meet the demands of the times and the needs of readers, and achieve the effective translation and communication of Mao Zedong's poetry.
