Abstract:The integration of industry and education in applied colleges and universities is an organic combination of industry and professional education to cultivate high-level application-oriented talents through school-enterprise cooperation, work-study integration and other ways. As a chairman unit of an application-oriented undergraduate university, Nanjing Institute of Technology has formed a distinctive feature in the integration of industry and education. Its Supply Chain Management course, however, suffers from some shortcomings in such integration practices. It is advisable to redesign teaching contents and innovate teaching method of the integration of industry and education, and implement diversified and multi-dimensional practical teachings. Moreover, the teaching reform and innovative practices should underscore “process” assessment and evaluation, and cultivation of “double qualified” teachers.
