Abstract:As a special poetic style,Mixed Tang poems are a collection of Tang poets' works. The Peony Pavilion is an early example of the employment of mixed Tang poems, primarily in the form of epilogue poetry. This paper compares the epilogue poems of An Amazing Dream and Seeking the Dream in Wang Rongpei's translation and other translations at home and abroad, and studies their forms, contents and readers' expectations of mixed Tang poems in such translations. The following points are put forward: 1.in terms of form, such poems should be translated in poetic form but not confined to a specific poetic form ; 2.in terms of content, importance should be attached to annotations which however should not be too long or too complex ; 3.in terms of readers' expectations, their defamiliarization needs to be ensured.
