Abstract:Pearl S. Buck’s dual education received since her childhood on and special life experience made her form the cultural har-mony value ahead of her time in her early age. This cultural harmony value, integrating the essence of both Chinese and Western cul-tures, is clearly reflected in the strategic choice of All Men Are Brothers, her English translation of Shui Hu Zhuan. This paper, based on Buck’s cultural harmony value, aims toreveal the cultural-harmony strategies used in translating this work, which can make contribution to research into Pearl S. Buck study and cast light on translating Chinese literature.
