Under the background of digital economy, CPTPP constructs digital trade rules that represent the highest standard in the world. The rules include lowering digital trade barriers, protecting consumers’ rights, digital trade facilitation, strengthening international cooperation, etc. China is facing challenges in comprehensive network governance capacity, legal system, digital service trade and other aspects when applying for Joining CPTPP. We should actively participate in the formulation of the digital trade rules of CPTPP, enhance cyber governance capacity, improve laws and regulations, strengthen law enforcement, adhere to multilateralism, actively promote international coordination and cooperation, in order to lay a foundation for China to promote higher-level reform and opening up.
