In the context of Chinese culture “going global薰, English translation of Chinese Confucian classics is attracting more attention from the academia at home. This paper makes a study of domestic research from 2001—2021 on English translation of Chinese Confucian classics. Based on an analysis of the distribution of publications and research hotspot, the paper explores the status quo of current studies and existing problems, and presents some prospects for future research. By assessing the problems in current studies, the paper holds that research methods should be diversified, combining digital humanistic methods and traditional studies to construct an objective, quantifiable and feasible mechanism to assess the method and effect of dissemination of Chinese Confucian culture.
